About Optix AI
Navigating the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence landscape with transparent, clearly sourced model discovery and comparison tools.
The Problem We Are Solving
Choosing an AI model today means wading through marketing pages, conflicting benchmark claims, and scattered pricing information. Model specifications change rapidly, and what was accurate last month may be outdated today. Most developers have to piece together the full picture from dozens of separate sources before they can make a confident decision.
What Optix AI Does
Optix AI is a decision-support platform. We structure model facts from official provider sources, tag capabilities so you can discover the right model for your task, and present pricing, context-window limits, and lifecycle status side by side. Historical status — legacy, deprecated, or superseded — is clearly identified on every model record.
Capability Discovery
Models are grouped by functional capability — text generation, code generation, image understanding, reasoning, and more. Each capability page shows how many published models support it, so you know what is available before you dig into individual model records.
Model Comparison
The compare tool lets you review two to four models side by side — capabilities, context-window limits, pricing tiers, and lifecycle status together. This removes the need to juggle multiple browser tabs and reconstruct the comparison yourself.
Official-Source Transparency
Every model record links to its primary provider documentation. We verify specifications against published sources and label what is confirmed, partially verified, or unresolved. Optix AI does not publish unverified claims as fact.
Hosted API vs Open-Weight
Optix AI covers both deployment paths: provider-managed cloud APIs and open-weight local deployment. Each has different hardware, licensing, and operating-cost considerations. We help you evaluate both so you can choose the right path for your use case.
Current Limitations
Optix AI is under active development. The model catalog, capability taxonomy, and benchmark datasets are being built progressively. Some model records may be partially verified, and some fields may be unresolved. We clearly label what is confirmed versus what is pending verification. Always check the primary provider documentation before making integration or purchasing decisions.
